- Itawuli translates to towel in Xhosa, is a beautiful towel inspired by the African landscape and heritage. With its intricate patterns, bold and warm colours this towel is a definite keepsake.
The stripe detail that runs through the middle of the towel is a favoured pattern used in the traditional woolen Basotho Blankets. These blankets were initially woven in England and this stripe was originally a mistake through lack of communication, it however became very popular amongst communities in South Africa so was then incorporated into the design. Itawuli translates to towel in one of South Africa's official languages, Xhosa.
The itawuli towel range has great absorbency, is quick drying and very compact making it an ideal travel accessory. Great as a beach towel and improvised attractive body wrap.
One large Bath Sheet size 97 x 158 cm (38” x 62”) will be sufficient to wrap and dry yourself with this beautiful towel.
